This was the line he used to save his skin. We were all boys, but Saverio, the youngest of the group, was not much more than a baby and when he got into trouble and you tried to nail him for it he would save himself with a disarming, slippery and lightning quick, “I’ll tell you later.” And still today, when I have to get myself out of “one of those” situations, I reinvent my scarcely credible innocence with a mischievous “I’ll tell you later.” It works every time.
