E61 Grouphead w/ Flow Control
- Constantly heated: Hot water circulates from the heat exchanger through the grouphead and back to keep the grouphead and your portafilter nice and hot. This keeps the grouphead at a constant, stable temperature compared to other groupheads that have a built-in heating element.
- Flow control: Adjust the control of pressure while pulling an espresso shot. The Bezzera Aria flow control device comes 50% preinstalled. You only have to put the wooden knob on top, tighten it with a allen key screw that is already included and put on the grouphead gauge.
- Gauge: Reads the actual pressure in the grouphead as you change the flow.

PID Controls & Dual Pressure Gauge
- Boiler temperature: Easily adjust the temperature of the boiler from 176 – 212 °F (80 – 100 °C).
- °C > °F: Easily switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit.
- Boiler pressure: Located on the top half. Indicates how much-steaming power is available.
- Pump pressure: Located on the bottom half. Indicates the amount of bar pressure during coffee extraction.

Heat Exchange System
- Copper, insulation: The boiler is copper which retains heat better than stainless steel. Typically copper boilers are more susceptible to limescale when you compare to stainless steel boilers. Therefore, we highly recommend using a water softener. The manufacturer wraps the boiler with insulation for maximum heat retention. This helps with temperature stability for the espresso extraction and also helps save energy.
- Pull a shot & steam milk at the same time: Steam is always readily available. Therefore there is no wait time going from coffee to steam mode.

Switchable Tank / Direct Water Connection
- Easy to fill & clean tank: With the open top, it makes it very easy to refill the tank with water. However, the best practice is to remove the tank when filling. The open top also makes it easy to clean and rinse all the way to the inside bottom of the tank if necessary.
- Easy to switch to direct water connection: After hooking up the water line hoses, there is a clip you install in front of the water sensor where the tank sits. Then there is a switch on the bottom near the back you change from “tank” to “net”.

Steam / Hot Water Wand
- Joystick lever handles: Easily pull in any direction for quick activation. Both joysticks will lock in the “up” position for hands-free operation.
- Multi-directional: Allows for more movement and flexibility.
- Rubber grips: These allow you to adjust the wands without burning your fingers. Please note that after very long periods of steaming or pouring hot water, even these can get hot to the touch.

Rotary Pump

Java Jim comes through with the absolute best edition of Bezzera’s Aria. I bought this machine for: Compact footprint, Quiet Rotary Pump, “Gawjess” polished chrome/rosewood Design, Generous accessory kit, Optional ability to run plumbed-in. The flow control is just a bonus and after a few months I’m just starting to play with it. Jim worked with Bezzera to clean up the Aria’s “Windows ’98” side panel design and more importantly, change the top of the machine to allow easy lid access to the water reservoir instead of having to remove the entire cup tray. He also matched the feet to the overall aesthetic. This is my first real machine and I have to say I do not understand the fuss people make about HX vs. DB. Brew water is always fresh and steam power is impressive. PID keeps temps very stable. Bezzera’s flow control is unique, as the operating range is very generous. On my machine, opening the flow control 3/4 revolution from fully closed, my debit rate provides a standard ~7.5ml/sec, measured through an empty PF basket. Bezzera (Jim, correct me if I am wrong here) uses the stock preinfusion spring. This means you can leave the flow control in any desired position and it will still slowly ramp up pressure like a stock machine, or you can operate it manually, similar to other flow control machines. Even running from the onboard water tank, I am super pleased with this purchase.

I’ve been a long time customer. Time for a new machine. I purchased from 1st Line because they’ve been satisfying my Coffee Machine needs for what seems like decades now? I Purchased a Bezzera with a grinder in a pkg deal and the new Machine is Fantastic. There is a digital thermometer with large clear display. The pump is quiet! Everything is quiet compared to the old models of yesteryear. The operation is easy and the result full proof. Very happy with my purchase. Thank you 1st Line.
